Best Apple products 2024: Best items to spend your money on including iPhone 15 Pro – The Mirror

If you have been thinking about buying a new Apple device, here are some of the best products to consider including the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max and the iPad
If you are a real Apple fan then you might be considering spending some of your hard-earning money to get the best Apple products on the market so far for 2024.
2024 is set to become an exciting year for Apple and its fans as people are expecting a new iPhone, iPad and the anticipated Apple Vision Pro which hasn't yet landed in the UK.
The end of 2023 saw the Apple iPhone 15 release along side the 15 Pro, 15 Plus and 15 Pro Max with rumours and predictions we could see some big changes coming 2024 with a possible iPhone 16 on the horizon.
On top of that, we are all waiting for the Apple Vision Pro to hit the UK after it launched in the US on February 2. Rumours claims that the device could hit the market at the end of the year.
So what are the best Apple products that you can buy for 2024? Here's a rundown of our top picks that you can grab right now.
We have four top iPhone handsets on Apple's shelves, the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and of course the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Apple is a go-to retailer but other UK networks including Sky Mobile, EE, O2, Vodafone and even GiffGaff are all among the retailers stocking the range. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus camera brings brighter colours and all focus seems to be on its new HDR front camera.
The bigger iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max come in either 6.1-inch or 6.7-inch and are fitted with the punchy new A17 Chip, a huge milestone for avid mobile gamers.
The Apple Watch Series 9 is fitted with the newest Watch OS10 software and has a revolutionary all-day battery life. The upgraded wearable piece of tech also comes fitted with Apple's latest "double-tap" feature.
This allows wearers to simply tap their index finger and thumb to unlock a host of tasks on their device, from answering calls, opening up widgets, stopping alarms, and pausing music. Those who want a more "rugged" device can opt for the latest Apple Watch Ultra 2 model, which is specifically designed for avid sport goers; scuba divers, rock climbers, and mountaineers.
The Watch Ultra 2 now has Apple's brightest display, an expanded altitude range, and a new Modular Ultra watch face. Although wearers pay a lot more for the new advancements at a starting price of £799 compared to the standard Series 9 starting price of £399.
When it comes to buying a MacBook in 2024 we'd recommend the new 15-inch MacBook Air model which was unveiled at last year's WWDC event.
The 2023 15-inch MacBook Air is available to order now for £1,399 and sits at £200 more expensive than the standard 13-inch screen size. Both devices are fitted with its M2 processing chip. Before this, the latest upgrade to MacBook Air was in 2020 with the release of the smaller M1 model.
As with any tech launch, the newer model launch brought down the price of the now "old" MacBook Air (2022's version) which can be bought for a lot less as providers start to implement price drops. As the only big change is the screen size we'd recommend shoppers to go for this product too, if the newer 2023 version is out of budget.
Of course, the latest iPhone 15 series is now propelled to the "best" iPhone to buy in this part of 2024 at least, but it doesn't mean older models are off the cards. You can read all about the iPhone 15 series above, but for now, here's a look at the previous iPhone 14 and iPhone 13 handsets.
The iPhone 14 Series is still a strong contender to buy in 2024, just like the iPhone 13 Pro did during the release of the iPhone 14 Series. Prices have also started to drop, as retailers gear up for the iPhone 15. It's also fully compatible with the latest iOS17 software.
Prices range from £649 for the standard iPhone 14 model. Despite being launched in 2022, Apple continues to feature upgrades, including the most recent launch of the handset in Yellow.
This is why our own tech reviewer at The Mirror refers to it as Apple's "best model yet", mainly down to its major upgrade on the selfie and back cameras.
In his review, Stefan Mieszek said: "Everyday tasks like scrolling the web, messaging, emails, and notetaking are flawless on the iPhone 14. The phone is able to handle most things you might choose to throw at it without breaking a sweat.
"Where it really shines though is the camera, which has seen a significant upgrade over its predecessor. The camera module on the iPhone 14 is slightly bigger, which is necessary to accommodate the wide-angle camera sensor and optics.
"If you're in the market for a new phone but don't want to blow your budget on a high-end Pro model, you'll be hard-pushed to beat the iPhone 14."
Apple released a handful of iPads last year so there is quite a selection of new models to choose from. Despite Apple customers having three new iPad models to choose from, one stands out from the rest with its M2 processor, the same tech that's featured in the most up-to-date MacBook Air M2 model as well as being in the brand new 15-inch MacBook Air.
If you're looking to buy an iPad in 2024 we'd recommend the current iPad Pro 6th Generation with its 12.9-inch screen and 120Hz screen refresh rate, often dubbed "the ultimate iPad" by tech experts including those at Wired.
The HomePod is Apple's own version of a smart speaker, often dubbed as a higher-end alternative compared to Amazon's Echo Dot devices, currently £299 at Apple and John Lewis. Fitted with Siri voice activation, it's a smart speaker designed for both playing music around the house and connecting to home devices.
The HomePod also lets users request weather updates, check the news, and search the internet all by using the "Hey Siri" commands. It's arguably the biggest feature that gets many users batting it against the more affordable Alexa product from Amazon, although more expensive at £299, the HomePod 2 Generation is designed to sync with fellow Apple products; iPhone, iPad, MacBook, and even a smart Apple TV.
The newest HomePod 2nd Generation was released in 2022, two years after its first release of the HomePod back in 2020. As it stands its remains the most up-to-date model to buy in 2024, and there's not another release to hit the market anytime soon.
The Apple Vision Pro is the newest spatial AR headset which launched in February 2 2024 in the US. The newest headset allows you to see your apps, videos, pictures and more in the space of your own home.
Thanks to Vision OS, it gives you a three-dimensional interface that frees apps from the boundaries of a display so they can appear side by side at any scale. Similarly to a VR headset, Apple Vision Pro can transform any space into a personal movie theatre with a screen that feels 100 feet wide.
The Apple Vision Pro is also a 3D camera which means that you can capture magical spatial photos and spatial videos in 3D, then relive those cherished moments. You can also FaceTime friends and family while connected to the device.
As we mentioned above, we have yet to have a release date for the Apple Vision Pro in the UK but once we do, we'll let you know where to buy it and the best prices.
