COLUMBUS, Ohio – Though Ohio reported 7,148 new coronavirus cases in the last week, the seven-day average for COVID-19 patients in Ohio hospitals has dropped to its lowest point since July 1, and the number deaths has been trending down since Aug. 1, Ohio Department of Health data shows.
